Just when I was sure...spring was around the next bend...

Mr. Winter came back for an..encore!

Well hay there.....

 I never know what will show up in the pasture...

It is a pheasant!

She has been hanging out around our home for a couple of weeks now.

I don't see her everyday...just every now and...then!

Some of the girl cows are checking out.....the pasture in front of our home!

Kitties are hard to draw.

They want sit still ...

Our Kitty...Barn Kitty...moved away.

I guess she was tired of living at the...barn.

Its cold here....and the weather man says we can expect more.

I have seeds waiting to be planted...just a few more weeks...

 A few pastures down....live these beautiful horses.   However...this picture is not of the horses...

If you look close you can see a water fowl.  I stopped the car....It would have been the best shot...

But by the time I found my phone ...She turned away and gave me her....back.

I'm sure it is a she.  Far to pretty to be a ....he!

 This winter has been cold....

Our firewood stack has dwindled.

The pasture has a good supply of ...firewood...just waiting to be...cut and...split!

Sweetheart..is a good....cutter and...splitter!  (And stacker, and toter....and fire starter!)

( Just some of the many reasons why I'm still crazy about him....after all these years!)

 Valentines Day in the pasture was....sweet!

 Daffodils are coming up all over the place.

This is an old variety....I believe they came from my Grandmothers place.

They can survive here because the cows do not like them!

 My garden.

There are a few more of these cabbages.

There is a row of mustard greens.  (Mixed with a little grass of course.)

I recently purchased some strawberry plants....My plans are to plant them in a raised bed.

Hopefully they will get planted!

I have many goals.

Writing this blog is one of them.

Lately playing with my paints...appears to override my goals...

Hopefully as spring brings fourth new leaves on the trees...I'll be able to turn over a new leaf or two for myself!

It's been a ..busy month.

Mr. Big Pumpkin....received a new face....

 Mr. Bat....met my the blazer..grill...

Guess he likes it there.....

He has not budged....

 Two people that we love dearly....

Were married.

( Sweetheart and I got to help.....on the Wedding Day! )

A big tent....for the reception....Beautiful!

 Pies....many more stashed in other places....await for the big moment...

 It's almost time.....And yes....they will arrive on sight....in this truck!

..The Bride and her Dad...along with her two sons arrive....

Teary eyes and goosebumps..for me! 

 The wedding was....beautiful.  

We will talk about it....for a long time.

Sweetheart and I...have know the bride....since she was a very small..toddler!

Where does time go!

Meanwhile...

Every things....normal!

A Fall Wedding...Shower

Sweetheart and I ...had the wonderful privilege of hosting a wedding shower....for two very special people.

A big ole pumpkin for the porch....

You know ...being fall and all..... 

A little something special...for the porch...

It belonged to my...very special Grand-Daddy.

If its old....and belonged to someone special....I'll love it..forever!

We have pumpkins in the house too.

Have I ever shared with you the pumpkins that my Daddy....helped me raise...

Love these off colored...rolly-pollie....fruits.  (Or maybe they are vegetables...I'm not sure.)

 This bowl was given to me ...many years ago.

And as fate would have it....it cracked..once I got it.

But

I super glued it...and now its somewhat usable...for dried stuff..you know.

Dried stuff...is so cool.

And this is the ....perfect color..for a fall wedding shower.

The spider had already left for work....so...I eased dropped on his little abode..

 This is a garden "wanna be".

Hopefully....it will be my winter green garden.

October brings...Bitter Weeds...in the pasture..and everywhere.

I kind of like them. Beauty is ..in the eye of the beholder.

 The girls come up ....and dodge the Bitter Weed.

Maybe they are bitter....not sure.

I wonder who and why....they were named...Bitter...Weed.

 Buzzards!

October buzzards ...out in the pasture.

I counted around....15.

Just soaring around...enjoying this beautiful fall weather.

For such a large turkey like bird....they are so graceful when they fly.

Mostly they....glide!

After just a few minutes of....gliding..they disappeared...

So someone else could....admire them!

 I stepped out on my porch this morning....and was greeted by...

her....(I think it's a her...)

I saw her the day before....but her Moma has kept her in...seclusion!

Today must be her coming out...day!

 Oh..hello beautiful....

She is So brave...

She needs to inspect my camera...

This makes her Moma...very nervous....

No doubt she will give her a good talking to about....strangers....

 Late in the day....the girls came up to the pasture in front of our...home.

Not sure which one will be....the queen of this mountain....
Right now...someone is getting their head cleaned...by a tongue....ewwww

 As soon as the big girls came down...someone else...

had to give it a try.....

Mountain climbing is....fun!

Mr. Donkey had to try his hand at mountain climbing....when the calf ran down...however..

it was too dark for a picture...so just picture it .... in your head!

The weather man says...our weather is fixing to...change...

Fall will be back for about 15 minutes...
