I'm still trying  to figure out the ends and outs of blogging....  Maybe  after I get another blog or two under my belt I'll get it figured out...maybe tomorrow I'll post a picture.... Or not ...

I made beef  and vegetable soup for tonight and I used some okra that my sis and brother n law raised in their garden .  I froze it after it was picked and we have enjoyed it all winter.  I took a picture of the okra but I don't know how to post it!  I will figure it out... As they used to say on the television when I was growing up... Stay tuned !

Sewing day!

I started this sweet little dress the other day.  There is a sweet little one at our church that I want to make it for.  I made a few changes in the pattern to suit my taste and I have sewed it using the heirloom method.  I really love to make baby things!  I am thinking about a bonnet to go with this and maybe some sweet little booties... I might just think on it for a while!

My Sweetheart and I had a wonderful weekend with our three grands!  We road bikes at the State Park just a few miles down the road and then came home and roasted hotdogs and s'mores out in the pasture.  Sunday morning our grown kiddos thought it would be a sweet surprise for us if they brought the three grands and came to our Worship Service!  Our two year old Grandson fell asleep rather fast during the service but woke up crying... one down, two to go!  One of the girls looked at me.. I winked at her and knew at that point that another early leaver was averted!  They really melt our hearts... If they were to ever ask I'd go to the moon and back for them!

This blog thing is kinda fun!  Hope someone out there enjoys reading and seeing things that make my day tick tock along!

When I was 6 or 7 my mom signed my big brother and I up for swim lessons... You know, the 2 week lesson where you start out as a tadpole and you progress into a minnow.. in just 2 short weeks.

The instructor started us out by having us blow bubbles with out our mouths in the water. Next, he instructed the tadpoles to put our heads in the water and push off!....  "Push off?" I remember thinking. "Push off what?!" Today I feel like I'm in that swim class again.. except I'm not swimming, I'm blogging! No primer, no instructions, no "ready, set, start"... just go.

You'll be glad to read, years later I did learn to swim.. but I will never be a minnow! I am a turtle. My head stays out of the water at all costs.
My purpose of starting this blogging experience is to share my life with whoever might be inclined to read it. I'm a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I try very hard to pattern my life, my thoughts and my actions after the example He left us. As of now, I fail miserably every day.. but God offers grace to me daily because I have accepted His free plan of salvation though His Son, Jesus.

I am married to the most honest man I know who is also a chief among sinners, saved by grace. We share a very happy life together. We are blessed with three beautiful adult children, and three gorgeous grands.

So now I am off...not sure if my heads under the water or not!
