Summer Fruit...

 First thing every morning...I gaze out my windows at the...pasture.  On this morning...the skies were crystal clear.   Within...minutes...this fog rolled in.  

The pasture is in a ..cloud!

 Every morning....I  try to study the scriptures.

Time...well spent.

 Sweet Uncle...next door invited me over to....pick berries in his...garden!

Some of them are as big as a quarter...

When I leave Sweet Uncle's garden...I have purple..lips...hmmmm.

 I ate my fill...so ...I'll make jelly with the remaining..berries!

One quick trip into town to buy  the Sure Jell stuff...

 No longer purple...they are a gorgeous...red!

Stir...Stir...don't stop stirring!

My...arm aches..

 I need some nutrition...to help with the stirring...

Home-made ice-cream...left-over from the picnic..

Now ..I feel better!

 I could probably drink...this juice...but better not..

My wooden spoon... looks like a thermometer !

Memorial Day...Picnic

 Our freedom cost some...so much.

Love...my America.

She is still worth fighting  for.

The wind...joined us on our..annual..picnic..down in the pasture.

The flags waved...

My hair blew...and

the rains..came.

 But...

Picnics can still be fun...in our pasture home..

Just grab a handful of the picnic stuff and...run to the house.

Don't forget...the flags!

 No wind...no...wave!

No problem!

Let the rains...continue..our pasture needs the...moisture!

 Head um up....and move um out!

The girls...are not too fond of the ...moisture!

From the house...we watch the rain...and eat!

 Ice-cream ... anyone?

Double Celebration!

 Birthdays are fun....and when two little cuties get to celebrate together..its double fun!

Our Grand and her cousin....had a pasture...tea party!

 Drink station....fill her up..please!

 Horses...always.. for this Grand...even with..tea!

 The dolls had their beds...

Their little mommies..were close by!

 There were plenty of "big" people to keep and eye..on everything!

 Back in the house...tea was served.. Some of the little ones...needed a break!

Ahhh...a bed and candy....tempting....(My kind of break..)

And at the end of the day...Loyal..remained...loyal!

Sweetheart and I both enjoyed celebrating with all of the little ones.

Hopefully memories were made that will last ...a life time!

In-_Side...Out-Side.....Birthday..Doll Tea Party

 Sweetheart and I were up early...along with the pasture girls.

We have a Grand that wanted her birthday party...in the pasture!

This part of the pasture has been freshly mowed...just in time for the party!

 The rugs..needed some fresh air..before everyone arrives...

I personally like to wait till the last minute...to do house-work and just about everything...else!

 Dolls, Girls and Tea....Our three year old Grand-Son decided he would bring his guns...just..in case!

 Sweetheart and the big Kiddos...worked hard to get the Louisiana Tree...just right for the party.

 I pulled out my....child-hood Tea set.  Thought this would impress...the girls!

 They still look good...( to me..) no matter the angle!

Another Candy-bar!  Doesn't everyone eat candy with their...Tea?

All the prep work was completed....( Thank-goodness for the hard working big kiddos! )

Project!

 Mr. Donkey must have..E.S.P.  .....

How he heard that a project was in the making is a mystery to me...but ..here he is..to witness what ever it is that...I have dreamed up!

 On one of the rainy days..that we recently had...I found a little fabric dyeing project.

The instructions called for...white cotton.  I have already cut a small  piece from this piece....

 For the dye..one avocado pit and skin.  The good stuff ....you can snack on....

Clean off the good stuff from the skin.  (I washed mine in the sink.)

Next take a hammer to the pit.  Don't smash it too hard...it will just roll..

Gather all of the washed pieces of skin and what ever you were able to smash with the hammer.

Put in a pot...and add water.

 Drop your fabric in the pot and bring to a boil.  I stirred the fabric with a wooden.spoon.

Then I turned off the burner and left it.

Overnight!

 I woke up to this beautiful fading...moon.

Thank-you Heavenly Father....I needed this to start my day!

 I took the now dyed fabric and carefully draped it across the garden gate.

Avocados lend a pinkish hue to fabric.....Who knew!!

Loyal worked right along beside me....unlike Mr. Donkey.

He brought out one of his buried horns...just in case I forget that he is a real....

Mother's Day...Everyday!

 I'm pretty sure that I have the best Moma...around!

I had a very wonderful Moma in law...that I loved!  

And I must not leave out my Grandmothers.  They influenced my life...in so many ways! 

I am so grateful that the older females in my life took time to teach me so many things..but most of all...they taught me the love of our Heavenly Father.  A priceless heritage.   And now it is my turn to...pass on...the faith to our Grands!

Waking up early this morning...I went out on our porch just in time to catch a little snap shot of ...a calf getting her...breakfast!  Our girls are very good...Moma's!

  

 Within a few minutes...several calves were getting...hungry!

 This is a Moma...want to be!  

Just a few more days and...maybe..she will have chicks!

 Good Morning....little one...It's Mothers Day....Treat your Moma special today!

 After a little snack...of course!

Perfect Weather..

 The weather is perfect..here at the pasture.

Loyal Companion loves it too!

 The girls just want to lay under a shade tree and...enjoy!

Their agenda on this day went something like..

Lay around

Chew cud

Watch the youngsters

Pose.. for an occasional picture!

 "Mom...I took my nap..please can I get up now?"

 This one mentioned that she has a hair appointment tomorrow.

Could I please hold all pictures until after she gets her..do!

 Umm...I had to take a little snack break for myself!

These little gems...make my heart  sing!

My heart is in "grateful" mode!

I know that the summer heat is just days away.

So...for today...I ..enjoy!
