Blooming Pasture..

The Mustard Greens are...blooming...also called bolting!

 Snow On The Mountain!  A flower that blooms when its...cold!

 The sweet little blooms on this Plum Tree are not visible in this picture....and the fragrance that you also can not smell is....over the moon...delightful!

 More cold weather flowers...

 I don't know the name of these very old bulbs....they are from my maternal Grandmothers home....

They smell....awful...but the memory they conjure up for me is...so sweet!

 Pear blooms on a wild Pear tree.  A very old....tree that grows in the front of our place.

 No blooms here but....plenty of ...calves running everywhere!

 No blooms here....maybe after the paint drys ...we will get the Roses planted!

I love Spring!

The Animals Rule..

 Have you ever wondered who teaches the animals things like....how to chew their cud....I know if you don't.

This would be the work of our wonderful...Creator.

 Mr. Donkey without a mouth....if only that were possible.  Donkeys do not chew cud...but they chew on everything else!

 And this would be a calf hiding out....under our house...It might be time to consider getting that skirting up!

 A chase is about to begin....and Loyal Companion will not be the...chaser, he will be the...chased!

 There is some eye-contact going on here..

 Ahhh...

 Baby setting!  A very common practice among...cows!

Ya-hoo...now Loyal Companion is the chaser...

And when they can't find anything else to do.....they go down to the creek and just get...muddy!

Pasture-ness

 Sweetheart had a day off.....and built us this arbor!  I love it...all it needs is a coat of paint and a few roses to cover it!  I am in search of my paint brush....and where did we put the roses....

 Green stuff on the pond....spring must be right around the....corner!

Remember the itty..bitty....calf....she's growing!  This pair of black calves stick together like...glue!  They are about the same size....and I think....they love each other!

 Newest...newbie!  Look at those ears....he must have excellent hearing! 

Me without you...is like shoes without laces....

This sign was leaning against a tree in the pasture....it was until a couple of mischievous calves decided to play with it!

As we "hope" for spring out here in the pasture ... let us also 'hope" in our Lord Jesus Christ.  He is our strength and help in all sorts of weather!

Valentines....

 Sweetheart ask me a special question this morning....Would I be his Valentine?.....

This was my question for him...a little latter in the day...

If you  were to look closely in our home...you would find that there are little valentines hearts...randomly displayed all around!.  They are out for us to enjoy all year long.......they remind us that I am his...and he is...mine!

 I love flowers ...and our wonderful Son....knows it!  He brought these by for...me to enjoy!

 Remember decorating the shoe box  in elementary school.  It would become our own little mail-box for  classmates to put Valentine cards in...  Well my hutch is my little "shoe box."  I love to put the hand-made cards out.... love jumps off  of the cards and into my heart every time I walk by . ..

Something...unique and ..special.  There is treasure inside of this little bottle....it is a scripture from God's word....A treasure ...indeed!

On this "special" day of love....it is my hope that you....have found the treasure of God's love.

There is nothing on this earth more special than this....

Valentine Blessings!

A Short Advertisement For Grand...Children

This is the time of year when...the pasture is....ugly.  Well,...at the least it is..not pretty.  The grass is all brown.  The trees are ..bare and if you could see the cows....they all appear to be wearing socks.  It is just ...mud....ugg...  We are all anxious for...spring!

I came across this generic barbie that the Grands left.  She lives here at the pasture house now.  I covered her up with this pillow because....those little clothes are too hard to get on.  When the Grands are here...and they play "barbies"  they dress them up ( or ask me too ).  They must run and undress them before they leave to head home because....they are always in the ..buff!  

If you have never experienced playing "beauty shop" with a barbie...you really must give it a try sometimes.  It takes a lot of patience to....pull a little comb through barbie..hair and truthfully an adult comb...just doesn't work either.  ...This is how all of the barbs left here at the pasture look.  They all have "blown up" hair!

Sometimes these little barbies are missing a limb or two but the Grands don't seem to mind!  I think there might be a lesson in that for the big people around....We should not put too much stock in how we look....just be ourselves...and enjoy life!

All of this silly-ness to say....Grands are ...great!  I really encourage you to get a few...adopt if you have to.  They  are not usually picky!

Winter...Will It Ever Leave...

 It is February...the cold month.  The fact is...it has been cold here...since winter began.  And that snow...that magical white stuff that makes us do ..crazy things...is starting to get....old.  Three times now...the white stuff has appeared on our pasture porch and today...I am cold.  The girl cows are...cold.  Even the very feathered chickens...are cold. For everyone who loves winter....this must be for...you!

My wonderful..sweet Moma, decided that she would boycott  winter and...stay inside.  She is always ..busy and this winter she has been all about  ...puzzles!   When she finished this one...she gave it to me! ( Did I hint..to her that I really love it...I'll never tell..)  It is everything that winter....is not!  In my mind I visit that light house....There I breath in the intoxicating smell of the....beach.  I take in the view and enjoy the warm...air!

Back to reality....I am trying to crochet....No clue yet what this might be...someday...but my  family has a few suggestions...We will just have to wait and...see!

  I only try my hand with the yarn arts.. in the winter...Recently .I had a visit with someone dear who just happens to ...knit!  I made arrangements with her...and she agreed to teach me...the art of..knitting! 

It is raining here...again.  With all the cold and wet stuff. that we have had this winter...

I believe we will...have a beautiful ...spring!

Wedding Shower..In Our Pasture Home...

 My kiddos came over early....to get the shower all set up....

The cake arrived....it looked  soooo good!  Special thanks to Perry Hill Bakery..you went over the top with this one!  

A few toys made their way to the cake...table.  Where there are boys....you will find..toys!

 Strawberry punch....I feel a thirst coming on...

 A really cool idea.....a candy-bar with all kinds of sweet treats.  I will need to keep a watch on ....myself..

 An unplanned moment.  While all of the "big" people were running around getting the house all dressed up...Our adorable Grand had a little look see at all of the ....sweet goodness...

It took only one "New York" minute for his little hands to.. retrieve some of the good stuff....

Really...this is what its all about....little moments..just like this!

It  was a ....beautiful moment for a beautiful bride to be....making memories that will go with her...forever.
